for those of us who may have fallen a bit short on our new year's resolutions....we can start again today (we'll just follow the chinese calendar).

apparently the 2010 olympic winter games kick off today. i'm totally out of the loop. anyhoo, i'll be photographing the opening ceremonies viewing party tonight at lagasse's stadium at the palazzo. swimming gold-medalist amanda beard will be hosting. should be fun. i'll try to post photos as soon as possible.

open wings-broken strings

last weekend, i had the opportunity to shoot musicians art alexakis (everclear), eddie kowalczyk (live), and leigh nash (six pence none the richer) during a meet and greet after their "Open Wings-Broken Strings" performance at the venetian. the meet and greet ended up being very quick, but it was fun to chat with art and his manager before they performed the last set. we covered all the necessary bases during our conversation--kentucky derby, may-december romances, snowboarding vs. skiing...both were very personable and i made sure to grab a photo with them before i left. tough gig, huh?
